Cervélo S5
There are fast bikes.
And then there are bikes built around one single objective:
Get to the line before everyone else.
The Cervélo S5 is exactly that.
It has become a benchmark for aerodynamic efficiency in the professional peloton, with wins under riders like Wout van Aert, Marianne Vos, Christophe Laporte and Simon Yates — proof that carries more weight than any marketing claim.
And the new S5 is even faster.
6.3 Watts Faster
On an aero bike, small numbers matter.
The new S5 saves 6.3 watts compared with its predecessor, with most of the gains coming from the most important area — the front of the bike.
Deeper fork legs and head tube profiles, a redesigned cockpit and a more refined interaction between the frame and rear wheel help the air move more cleanly around the bike.
Less drag. More speed for the same effort.
Not Just Faster. Lighter, Too.
More aerodynamic surface usually means more weight.
Not here.
The new S5 is 124 grams lighter than the previous generation, thanks to an optimized carbon layup and lighter hardware.
More aero performance, without paying for it in unnecessary grams.
New One-Piece Cockpit
The new handlebar and stem use Cervélo’s Plus-Four concept.
The position at the hoods is 4 cm narrower than the drops.
That helps you hold a more aerodynamic body position on the hoods.
And when you move into the drops for sprinting or descending, the wider position gives you more stability and control.
Narrower when you want speed. Wider when you need control.
Reserve 57|64 — Designed for the S5
These wheels are not simply components added afterwards.
The new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheelset was co-developed by Reserve and Cervélo specifically for the S5.
The asymmetrical rear wheel profile matches the shape of the seat tube, helping the air move smoothly across the whole system.
The result is another 3-watt improvement over the previous Reserve 52|63 wheels, with no increase in weight.
Speed Proven Where It Matters
The S5 is not fast only in the wind tunnel.
Wout van Aert won the Tour de France Green Jersey with the largest points-classification margin of the modern era.
Simon Yates rode it into the maglia rosa.
That is why the S5 is seen so often at the front.
Not because it looks fast.
Because it was built to be there.
